Cosentino DC

reform and Division1 were thrilled to collaborate with Cosentino on their newly completed showroom in downtown Washington, DC. The 3,000 square foot space is prominently located in a brand new Akridge developed building at the corner of 21st and L Streets in the West End neighborhood. Our clients, the Spanish based, solid surface company is in the process of opening ‘Cosentino Cities’ in metropolitan areas around the world with the goal of providing spaces for “design and architecture professionals to get inspired, connect and create”.

reform and Division1 served as architect of record and collaborated closely with Cosentino’s design team in Spain to guide the project through design development, permitting and construction. The showroom features a large open reception area with both digital and physical displays of material options and recent installations

There is also an atelier area made specifically to enable designers to work with their clients in developing material pallets for their projects. The highlight of the space is a spacious open kitchen and presentation area which allow for larger gatherings while simultaneously featuring the broad range of installation options for Cosentino’s product offerings including Silestone and Dekton. Even the bathrooms provide an opportunity to show off the various thicknesses and textures available in the solid surface slabs.

The project exemplifies a beautiful balance between soft and hard surfaces and provides an elegant, contemporary space that serves both Cosentino as a showroom and their clients as a space to be inspired and to collaborate.
