We were invited to collaborate with another local design firm to design a cafeteria space for a confidential digital media company. The space was intended to evoke the innovative and futuristic aesthetic of the products which the company creates.

Maintaining a large cafe in the center of its expansive campus allows the company to improve efficiency and retention of its employees, but also creates a social hub where people from all of the different groups and departments can come together for collective inspiration.

Seating areas are elevated slightly above the floor and wrap up and around to create more intimate spaces with integrated furniture and lighting. The gentle curves of these wrappers are intended to enhance creativity and reinforce the branding and identity of the company.

We used digitally fabricated structural framing elements and cost effective materials to create a completely customized look without driving the budget out of reach. The finished space is a perfect example of utilizing standard components and materials in new and unexpected ways to generate something completely out of the ordinary.
